Mac Storey - Officiant
Mac, we met at a drum circle in 2016 and I immediately felt a soul connection with you. It was so nice to be able to have someone there who was accepting, trusting, and someone who would hold me accountable in healing and growing spiritually. You grew to be one of my closest and best friends, experiencing life together through the good and bad, fun and mundane. You're the girl I go to concerts with, my Mamma Mac at festivals ("Blot bitch, blot!" hahaha), my arts and crafts partner to make vision boards with. You're my poetry QUEEN- seriously...how can you make words feel so powerful? You're the friend I watch 4th of July fireworks and float down the river on paddleboards with, laughing so hard we can't breathe. You're the sister I never had, who showed up for me immediately the day my brother passed away and was my sturdy ground throughout the intense grief. You light up my life with your authenticity, your silliness, your grounded presence. When we were thinking of who our officiant would be, you're the only person we both wholeheartedly knew we wanted to perform the sacred act of marrying us. I don't think I could ever truly express my deep gratitude for you, but I will always, always keep trying. We both love you, Mac, and I will always love you to pieces, PEACHES!
Kristine Delapena - Maid of Honor
Oh Teeny, thank god you spit your gum out in 7th grade English class, watching it slowly roll down the outside of the trash can and creating an awkward laughing bond between us. We took that awkward laughing bond and turned it into giggling our way to survival for the last 20 years. I wouldn't wanted to have created Happytopia, or gone streaking in the middle of winter, or have had lunchtime rooftop parties with anyone else. Not to mention making it through border patrol into Canada to go ziplining through wildfires, across the world to Poland to eat 50 pierogies a day, a national park trip to Montana where we gave ourselves tattoos, a coastal camping excursion to Oregon to make beaded bracelets in our matching pjs, a trip to Alaska where we could not figure out the bus systems to save our lives, and so so many hiking trips around the Seattle area. And of course, the trip to Forks where I manifested the cowboy I'm going to be marrying. The guy on rollerblades from the future may have cursed us, but I'm glad I have you as a best friend to get through life with, sometimes wailing on the floor together, but most of the time smiling and whispering to each other thinking no one else can hear. Bess, I love you and I'm so honored to have you as my Maid of Honor.
Celeste Sampson - Bridesmaid
The first cousin and first best friend I ever had! Celeste, I'm so glad we got to grow up with so much cousin time when we were young. Raiding grandma's shoe collection as soon as we got to her house, just a couple of toddlers clomping around in her high heels. Disney princess dresses, barbies, pretend gibberish phone calls ("You're just...shtupid!" hahaha) and endless laughter were our cups of tea. Growing older, I loved the summers we got to spend together- dumpster diving and building new inventions out of the stuff we would find, stealing and eating all of the rhubarb from the garden, sleeping under the stars on the trampoline, dyeing our hair with markers, dyeing our barbie's hair with Kool-Aid, munching on dog food, and writing "swear" words in the toy cardboard house you had. You always brought the laughter out of anyone who was nearby- except the time you and Michael painted the ceiling of the motorhome with green and purple sunscreen...my dad sure wasn't laughing about that hahaha. I'm so proud of the woman you've grown up to be through all the hard things life brings. You are such a great mom to your kids and your fur babies. I'm so grateful you are my cousin, my friend, and now one of my bridesmaids. I love you!!
Brittnee Collins - Bridesmaid
Brittnee! My cool cousin. The bees knees. The chillest person ever. I'm so lucky to have you as my cousin. I've loved watching your creativity grow with you as you've gotten older through various artistic hobbies like playing your guitar and photography. I also love watching how you are with your younger siblings and niece and nephew; you can tell how much love and care you have for them and vice versa. You're so genuine and true to yourself and I respect that you are someone anyone can count on if they need anything at all. You have such a big heart and so much kindness within you. I'm so happy that we spent so many summers and holidays together growing up, and I'm sorry you were the younger cousin and received all the pranks from Celeste, Kellan, Michael and I... but you sure gave us lots of laughs haha :) I loved when we would do runway shows for your mom with the costumes from the dress up closet, decked out in feathered boas and sequin dresses... and I love knowing that you weren't a terrible hamster owner...hamsters just hibernate hahaha. I'm SO so proud to have you as my family and as a friend. Thank you for being one of my bridesmaids <3 I love you!!
Hannah Valencia - Bridesmaid
Hannah, you were the first out of Joseph's 5 sisters that I met and I'll never forget how welcoming and kind you were to me and made me feel so at ease. You are one of the most beautiful souls I've come across and you have a heart that is so giving and filled with so much love. I've loved the talks that we've had and getting to hang out together at Joseph's shows. I appreciate your deep love for nature and how you use nature to create art (specifically those crowns out of tree bark). You are such a good aunt to your nieces and nephews, and I love that you're always playing with them when they're around. I love that you are always authentic and speaking your truth, leading with the bravery of always being yourself. I truly feel so lucky to be able to have connected with you in the ways we have, and I can't say enough how blessed I feel to be gaining you as a sister-in-law! I love you, Hannah!
Sarah Albertson - Bridesmaid
Sarah- the funniest of Joseph's sisters ;) I appreciate your sense of humor so much and your authentic personality. I love how much value you hold for family, and I love getting to witness how AMAZING of a mother you are to your four kids. I love that you celebrate and protect the individuality of each of them and offer them such a fun outlook on life, while also making sure they always feel so incredibly loved. I secretly consider you superwoman with how much you do on a daily basis taking care of your kids, goats, cows, Biscuit, and offering a hand to those close to you whenever they need it. You have been so selfless helping us with wedding shenanigans and I can't thank you enough. Getting to know you better over the years has been one of my favorite things and I know that whatever the family function is, if you're going to be there, I'm going to be laughing. Who knew someone could be drop dead gorgeous AND hilarious. Love you!!! So happy to be gaining you as a sister-in-law :)
Payton AhYou - Best Man
Piko, my best friend since I was 3 or 4 years old. All started with him walking across the street in our neighborhood to ask if I wanted to ride bikes. So many of my childhood core memories consist of playing basketball and night games and nights full of laughter with Payton and his brothers Braxton and Miki and my sisters. Piko has been there for me in legitimately every stage of life. He's a blanket of safety and love for so many people. I was scared of the world as a kid but if my best friend was with me, I wasn't ever afraid. Even as adults in our young twenties making some questionable and potentially dangerous decisions, I was never afraid as long as he was there doing it with me. His capacity to love, accept, and care is second to none. We've watched each other learn and grow and fall in love with our very soon to be wives and I've been lucky enough to see you become the most amazing family man to your sweet Mia and little Kulani. Love you so much Sole. A1 since day 1 baby.
Mark Daniel Ray Palmer - One time lover two time brother
Oh god. How to make this appropriate and concise... IDK man, this is gonna be tough. Danny Boy Blue, DP, Danny Palmy. God I love you dude. Fuck that "in-law" shit. You're my BROTHER and you know it. Daniel married my sister Hilary and he and I really started hittin it off when I started working with them up on a dude ranch in northern Idaho. I don't think there's a funnier person on the planet that Daniel Palmer. I loved spending time with him so much that in the dude ranch off seasons I followed he n Hil to Pocatello just cause I wanted to spend more and more time together. Daniel can walk more miles than you, I promise. This guy is unstoppable on trail and he's always had my back. One time I got put in a gnarly chicken wing hold by a 230 pound dude on the ranch and 130 pound DP spider monkeyed his way up the wall and over this dude and saved my life and sent the dude packin. Thanks for the constant laughs n loyalty Palmer. Love you so much, brother.
Parker Albertson - Groomsman
Parker is another brother- in - law of mine married to my sister, Sarah. Parker and I actually met on the basketball court in high school as enemies haha. Nah, never enemies but opponents and competitors. Parker loves to help and provide opportunities for people. He also has a genuine curiosity about anyone's interests and he will ask you every question imaginable about them. One of your best qualities in my opinion. Never small talk just to talk. He wants to know the ins and outs of your interests and hobbies. Since I moved back to the treasure valley our relationship has grown tremendously. From my brother - in - law to one of my very good friends. Parker has helped me achieve goals with the amazing and incredibly selfless opportunities he's provided. He's made a great name for himself in the valley and I'm always honored to say that he's my brother - in - law at any opportunity.
Dustin Hutchings - Groomsman
Dustin and I go all the way back to 5 years old where we met at church of all places and became friends instantly. Just like with Payton, I have countless childhood core memories with Dustin. Dustin is the ultimate handyman and the most willing to help at any time guy I know and he has a damn heart of a lion, this guy. With all our moving around we've done in our adult lives, we've never drifted apart and would always call to see how things were going in our necks of the woods and always make time to hangout whenever we were both in town. I can count on Dustin for anything. He is Mr. Reliable and has got a great sense of humor and is just all around a top notch human being and friend. And... he did outscore me in our final game of varsity state basketball as seniors and loves to tell people, so here ya go brother, now everyone knows (; Love you man, thanks for being as solid of a friend as they come.
TJ Klinkhamer - Groomsman
PJ!!! Where to begin with this guy hahaha. TJ and I met freshman year of high school and I actually didn't like him very much haha. I thought that he thought he was SoooOOOoooOOooo CoOOOoooOOl. And as time went on, I discovered that he was 1,000% right haha. I love this guy so much and he has been one of my best friends for the last 14 years now. TJ and I grew and continue to grow as individuals at such a similar rate and have just always been able to connect and understand one another on such a deep level. TJ just gets me and he always has. He makes people feel heard and understood. I remember Piko speaking at TJ's wedding and saying one of the most accurate things about him that I've ever heard. He said that there's so many people who say that they're best friends with TJ, and that's because he just makes you feel that important and understood and cared about. And it's all genuine. Something along those lines anyway. TJ has a heart of gold and just makes people feel good about themselves. We've gotten into some absolutely insane situations together ( that were only sketchy if Piko wasn't there hahaha) and I wouldn't trade them for the world. And just like Dustin, TJ has always kept in contact with me through all the moves and all the wild times and ups n downs. I feel so lucky to call you and all the groomsmen my closest friends. Love you PJ.
